Clients and projects

See where your team's hours go.

Project and client time tracking: an alternative to Toggl or Clockify, linked to your team's working time.

Workin links working time to your clients and projects. Your team clocks once: you see how much it works, and for whom.

Project tree in Workin: clients, projects and tasks with estimated time, time spent and progress.

Structure only what you need.

Client, project, sub-project, task: use the levels that serve you. One client and its projects are enough to track time.

A project can be a mandate, a file, a recurring service or an internal project. Agency, architecture office, fiduciary or IT company: each adapts it to their trade.

One timer for the day and the projects.

The employee starts their day, then moves from one project to another. Their working time continues, only the assignment changes.

  • Their tasks and recent projects at the top of the list
  • Work possible without a project
  • Split corrected afterwards
  • A real break remains a break

Track progress at a glance.

For each item, Workin compares the estimated time with the time actually spent. A client shows the progress of all its projects, with no double counting.

  • Progress bar and percentage
  • Detail by project, sub-project and task
  • Alerts at 50, 75, 90 and 100 % of the estimate

Know who does what, and by when.

Each task can have assigned people, a due date, a status and an estimated time. Late tasks are flagged.

An internal note stays within the team, a text accompanies the task for the client, and earlier versions are kept. Workin organises the work without becoming a complex project management tool.

From the client down to the detail.

For each client: hours per month, per project and per employee, over the period of your choice.

  • Time by client, project and employee
  • Share of each person's time assigned to projects
  • Non-timed services with their amount
  • Excel export of hours and services, to prepare invoicing

Workin does not invoice: the export serves as the basis for your invoicing.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create tasks to track my time?

No. Time is clocked directly on a project, or even without one. Tasks are useful when you want more detail.

Can I use projects without managing working time?

Yes. Workin calculates working time in the background, but nothing requires you to use it. You can focus on time per client and per project.

Can I tell whether a project is taking more time than planned?

Yes. Give the project or its tasks an estimated time: Workin shows progress and warns at 50, 75, 90 and 100 %.

Does Workin handle invoicing?

No. Workin exports to Excel the hours and services of a client or project, all of them or only those marked “to invoice”. The invoice is then made in your usual tool.
