Workin was born from a simple observation: running an SME is already plenty of work. Managing your employees' hours is simple in theory, but it quickly becomes a headache in practice. How do you count holidays, public holidays, overtime, weekends — especially when it's not a full-time role?

Apps exist to time work, but you then have to chase employees for their statements, enter them and centralize them in an Excel spreadsheet, without a precise real-time view. And every year, you have to update the public holidays, deduct holidays and sick days — with all the risk of error that entails.

I looked for tools. But honestly, none was at once simple, affordable and compliant — so we built it.

Is the account really free to get started?

Yes. The Solo plan is free, no credit card: track your own hours, manage your leave and export your statements, for individual use. To manage a team, you get a 30-day trial, then choose a Starter or Pro subscription.

Where is the data hosted?

Data is hosted on Google Firebase infrastructure, in Europe. Workin is designed in compliance with the GDPR and the Swiss data protection law (revised Swiss FADP (nFADP)).

Can I change plans or cancel?

Yes, at any time from your account. You can switch from one tier to another, from the Starter plan to the Pro plan, or cancel — with no commitment.

Can I manage multiple companies with a single account?

Yes. If you run several companies or projects, you can manage them from a single Workin account and switch between them without logging out. Handy for entrepreneurs who wear many hats.

Does Workin work in multiple countries?

Yes. The app handles multiple countries (country-specific legal frameworks and break rules), 4 currencies and 28 interface languages.

Do my employees need to install an app?

No. Workin is a web app (PWA): it opens in the browser and installs with one click on mobile and desktop, without going through a store.

How do I import my Excel history?

Workin lets you import your history from an Excel file in just a few clicks. Your past data is available immediately in the app.

Does Workin work on iPhone?

Yes. Workin is a PWA: from Safari on iPhone, tap Share then Add to Home Screen. The icon appears like a real app, without going through the App Store.

Can I manage my team in real time?
