Create your company
Free sign-up at app.workin.app, no credit card. An isolated space is created for your company.
Add your employees
One by one by email, or in bulk via an Excel import (up to 200). Each one receives an invitation.
Track & manage
Your staff clock in (timer or entry), you track hours, discrepancies and leave in real time.
Time tracking & hours
How do you track your hours?
Via the real-time timer (start / pause / resume / finish) or by manual entry of the day. Multiple sessions per day are possible. A time-stamped timeline keeps every event.
Are legal breaks handled?
Yes. Each company sets its own break rules, with the durations and thresholds that apply to it. Depending on your choice, Workin flags a break that is too short or automatically deducts the missing break.
What about overtime?
With the Pro plan, hours beyond the daily target go into an overtime counter, which can be paid out or taken as time off.
Can manual entry be blocked for an employee?
Yes, the administrator can block an employee's manual entry (the timer remains available), to ensure reliable time tracking.
Leave & absences
How do leave requests work?
The employee submits a request (dates, type of absence, reason). The administrator or manager approves or declines it. Holiday balances update automatically.
Which types of absence are handled?
Holidays, sickness, accident, maternity, paternity, service, unpaid leave, and other justified leave. A supporting document (medical certificate) can be attached.
Is there a team calendar?
Yes, with the Pro plan: it shows at a glance who is present, on leave or absent across the whole team.
Reports & exports
Which reports are available?
Monthly and annual statements, hour variances, balances, totals and, with the Pro plan, advanced HR charts. All exportable to Excel and PDF.
How do I lock a month?
The administration locks a month once it is approved: the hours clocked for that month are fixed and can no longer be changed. Time recorded on projects outside clocking remains editable.
Account & subscription
Is the trial really free?
Yes: a 30-day trial, with no charge before the 30th day. A card is requested when you subscribe, and you can cancel before the trial ends. The Solo plan is free and requires no card.
How do I change plan?
At any time from Settings → Subscription: change plan or adjust your seats. An increase is charged immediately, pro rata; a decrease generates a credit.
How do I cancel?
With no commitment, at any time, from your account. Access to paid features is maintained until the end of the current period.
Are administrators billed?
Yes: every active member takes up a seat, whatever their role. The Solo plan remains free for one person.
Is the Projects module included in all plans?
Yes. Solo: 2 projects and 1 client. Starter: 10 projects and 5 clients. Pro: unlimited, with the ClickUp integration and the AI assistant. Archived projects and projects in the trash count toward the limit; a slot is freed when they are permanently deleted.
Installation (PWA)
Do I need to install an app?
No. Workin is a web app: it runs in the browser. You can “install” it with one click (Add to Home Screen) on mobile and desktop, without going through a store.
Does Workin work offline?
Partially: thanks to PWA technology, the app remains usable during short network outages and resyncs afterward.
Data & security
Where is my data hosted?
On Google Firebase infrastructure: database in Switzerland (Zurich), files in Germany (Frankfurt), functions in Belgium. See our Privacy policy.
How does Workin protect my data?
Encryption in transit and at rest, strict isolation between companies, mandatory email verification, bot protection (App Check), role-based access control. Designed for the GDPR and the FADP.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes: full export in JSON format from “My profile”, and account deletion (GDPR right to erasure), in compliance with the legal retention obligations of labor law.
