Create your company
Free sign-up at app.workin.app, no credit card. An isolated space is created for your company.
Add your employees
One by one by email, or in bulk via an Excel import (up to 200). Each one receives an invitation.
Track & manage
Your staff clock in (timer or entry), you track hours, discrepancies and leave in real time.
Time tracking & hours
How do you track your hours?
Via the real-time timer (start / pause / resume / finish) or by manual entry of the day. Multiple sessions per day are possible. A time-stamped timeline keeps every event.
Are legal breaks handled?
Yes. Minimum breaks are calculated automatically according to the rules of the company's country, configurable by tier.
What about overtime?
With the Pro plan, overtime is calculated automatically according to configurable thresholds, with the option of payment or recovery.
Can manual entry be blocked for an employee?
Yes, the administrator can block an employee's manual entry (the timer remains available), to ensure reliable time tracking.
Leave & absences
How do leave requests work?
The employee submits a request (dates, type of absence, reason). The administrator or manager approves or declines it. Holiday balances update automatically.
Which types of absence are handled?
Holidays, sickness, accident, maternity, paternity, service, unpaid leave, and other justified leave. A supporting document (medical certificate) can be attached.
Is there a team calendar?
Yes, with the Pro plan: it shows at a glance who is present, on leave or absent across the whole team.
Reports & exports
Which reports are available?
Monthly and annual statements, hour discrepancies, balances, cumulative totals, and — with the Pro plan — advanced HR charts. All exportable to Excel and PDF, ready for payroll.
How do I lock a month?
The administrator can lock a month's timesheets once approved, which gives them evidentiary value and prevents subsequent changes.
Account & subscription
Is the trial really free?
Yes: a 30-day trial, no credit card to start. You then choose the plan suited to your team.
How do I change plan?
At any time from Settings → Company → Subscription. An upgrade to a higher plan is billed pro rata immediately; a downgrade to a lower plan generates a credit.
How do I cancel?
With no commitment, at any time, from your account. Access to paid features is maintained until the end of the current period.
Do administrators count toward the employee limit?
No. Only active employees (non-administrators) count toward your plan's limit.
Installation (PWA)
Do I need to install an app?
No. Workin is a web app: it runs in the browser. You can “install” it with one click (Add to Home Screen) on mobile and desktop, without going through a store.
Does Workin work offline?
Partially: thanks to PWA technology, the app remains usable during short network outages and resyncs afterward.
Data & security
Where is my data hosted?
On Google Firebase infrastructure, in Europe. See our Privacy Policy.
How does Workin protect my data?
Encryption in transit and at rest, strict isolation between companies, mandatory email verification, anti-bot protection (App Check), role-based access control. Compliant with the GDPR and the revised Swiss FADP (nFADP).
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes: full export in JSON format from “My profile”, and account deletion (GDPR right to erasure), in compliance with the legal retention obligations of labor law.
